So, we have been going down this road for a long little while. Some would say "far too long" but here we still are.
From Trump suggesting that Canada be the 51st state, that Canada has been sucking the US teat for far too long, to making Gaza a resort, and the Ukranian President a dictator who started the war, to "Tariffs On- Tariffs Off" which is like a bad Karate Kid scene: "wax on, wax off" or literally "tax on, tax off".
I am calling out Trump for bringing "terror" to his "tariffs". Can you ever remember a time where you have experienced a more miserable scary roller coaster ride than the current ride the Trump Administration has been taking us on?
This would be almost funny if it wasn't so damn serious.
We (being the world) have been upended by this noisy and distracting nonsense. From the falling stock exchange and worrying about what is going to happen to our retirement savings should this "tax and mouse" game continue. To how much is everything going to cost when and not if the taxes are really "on" again . This President and his obsession with "Trump Terror-iffs" is literally unnerving countries around the world and even more concerning he is upsetting and worrying average families with the constant nervousness about what is he going to say and do next.
It's a reality show that needs to be cancelled.
If Trump and his loyalists are so certain that this is the only answer to the USA's problems then pull the band-aid off and get on with it. Stop with these constant inconsistent "on again/off again" decisions. You would like to think that his executive committee has some kind of strategy but I am resolved that the Trump team is operating by seat of their pants. I have come to this conclusion by watching many Sunday morning talk shows when Trumpeteers being interviewed say one thing only to have the master puppeteer (Trump himself) saying exactly the opposite the next morning. There is no strategy.
Trump wants to suggest that he's not waffling on his decisions but instead is being "flexible". No. That would be incorrect. This man has waffled, is waffling and will continue to waffle because he has no meaningful strategy and is simply out of his league with only "yes" men and women surrounding him. And his new handle "TACO man (Trump Always Chickens Out) says it all.
Have you watched any of his cabinet meetings? Where in front of the cameras Trump asks his executives to go around the table for an update from each of their departments and all we hear from every single one of them is praise and thanks to his royal highness for the opportunity that he has bestowed upon them. It's really shocklingly alarming that his administration thinks they are pulling the wool over the eyes of his American subjects. Which I can understand because this is the same America that voted him back into the White House for Trump 2.0.
And if that isn't terrifying enough we have his economic warfare that is playing with not only American allies but also with the superpowers of the world believing that he has the political clout and power to dictate terms and conditions to one and all. Presently we are seeing this backfire with China adamantly opposing his "terror-iffs" stating that they are up to the fight with the United States and they will not be intimidated by the "American hillbillies" (a rebuttal to V.P. Vance calling the Chinese "peasants").
So where does this all lead for the American and Canadian people? Being terrorized by a bully that is running rampant in the global schoolyard.
It's time to call in the calvary and get this man under wraps for the economic terrorist he is.
